Sacred Passage : How to Provide Fearless, Compassionate Care for the Dying.

Healing can occur for a patient even when there’s no hope for a cure.
— Margaret Coberly, PhD, RN

An important read for anyone who’s (going to be) caring for their parents or other loved ones, in any capacity. Coberly addresses the cultural phenomena of death denial, and the implications of wanting to keep blinders on when it comes to aging, illness, and end-of-life matters. Written from a Buddhist perspective, she tackles what it means to heal v. to cure, and what death can teach us when we have the courage to face it head on. This book is so good.
